Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Generate financial analysis reports to support management in decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Monitor and report on budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations.
- Support departments in managing their budgets by providing timely financial insights.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances.
- Track incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare and file tax documents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist with tax planning and keep up-to-date with tax changes and regulations.
- Respond to tax inquiries and support audits as needed.
- Internal Controls and Compliance
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review financial policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
- General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, adjusting entries as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
